The design uses 6N3 dual triodes driving a pair of EL84 valves running in class A push pull for each channel which produce 10 watts per channel. Amazon is wonderful. Edger is not good. Just let you know. Black and Decker very good edger. I should have known. It’s worth trying Amazon. They returned it back quickly, money back. So, I bought from Amazon Black and Decker LE760FF, from them. It worked great, like B&D has the experience to build Edgers.

Yes, it uses up batteries but that's because it actually has enough power to do the job, unlike many "homeowner" tools. The handle is long enough so I'm not painfully bent over while using the tool, and it feels solid and stable. One thing I really appreciated is that it doesn't have a typical pointless, awkward "safety" interlock button that you're supposed to keep mashed down with your thumb the whole time - it's a comfortable one-finger trigger. Another good 20v tool from Worx. I'm "in".
