While I didn't bother reading instructions, it functioned as I intuitively thought with some slight troubleshooting. For example, using the correct USB-C for power or data. Connections to support an external monitor needs power toggling occasionally. Patience paid off. Expected a subpar Chinese knock-off (with questionable safety standards).
