I like that it detects temperature and determines what fan speed it should be on to control temperature in the room. Its made a notable difference in my warmest room of the house this summer. Also it is a very good value for the cost. It is not silent, but it is not loud at all. The fan is very sturdy and easy to assemble. The only assembly is a giant plastic nut on the bottom that holds the stand in place. IMO if you choose this fan, you will not be disappointed.
