HSS (high speed steel) has been heat treated for hardness and wear resistance, which keeps a sharp edge longer than other carbon steels. This set includes two back cutters. Unfortunately I couldn't enjoy this all in one printer. I'm sure that it is a well-made printing machine. I had to return my printer the next day since it didn't came with the proper ink cartridges the proper instruction manual or the CD to set the computer up. I did manage to purchase new ink cartridges for this Epson printer unfortunately when I went through the setup process and install the ink cartridge the printer kept jamming on me. I don't know if the reason that I was having difficult with this printer it's because it was a refurbished printer. Try to resolve issue with printer over the phone with Amazon but that was a disappointment.
