The platter is in very good vintage condition however it does show signs of crazing on the front and back. This platter appears to have been produced in the 1930's as shown by the backstamp. We're hanging some shelves that will hold some weight and wanted a minimal amount of shelf to show. It's about what's on the shelf, not the bracket. The black metal adds just a touch of style against the white painted wood shelves. They look great. The best part is that the screws go right into the middle of the shelf which makes it easy to hit the center of the stud. Standard box store lumber fits perfectly. A 1 x 10 fits like a glove and the small lip finishes off the classic look. Comes with all sorts of mounting hardware and the screws are decent quality and went in with no issue or stripping. I usually have to buy better screws but these were fine. At this price it really was an excellent deal and they are heavy duty. Win Win Win.
