Tencel is crafted from wood pulp, using a closed loop process that minimizes environmental impact. Our tencel have the capacity to absorb 50% more than cotton. I think this tray is a good value compared to other vendor's products that are $100+. I plan to keep it because it is a good value for me. HOWEVER, realize that the metal base does not extend across the full base of the cork liner. Metal pieces are only on the edge of long side of the liner. Also, the metal is lightweight.
