Bought this to replace an existing computer bag that I use for college. I typically hold a lot of stuff and my bags become heavy. This bag holds up! It seems made from waterproof material. Although I thought it was canvas when I ordered, and I thought it had a padded computer pocket. That isn't true. But I was looking at so many tote bags, I may have gotten them confused in my head. But it seems really well made and there is plenty of room in the bag if you have a padded computer sleeve for your laptop and then place it in the bag.
