The lid opens and closes smoothly and I have not had any of them wear out or stop staying closed before the wipes run out. The wipes have a pleasant scent and feel clean. The wipes are the right thickness for most jobs, but are not what I would call 'thick' wipes nor are they 'thin'. The oils and chemicals used are gentle enough for older babies while still getting them clean, but I would recommend something more gentle for newborns. The four pack was a great value (12 pouches total) and I would recommend it to any fellow parents of infants or toddlers.
